Even during a tumultuous and sad season of men's basketball, the Georgia Tech women's program continued to fly well under the radar and put forth yet another successful season and placement in the NCAA Tournament.
The women were given a #5 seed in Columbus, OH and put away #12 Bowling Green 69-58. They now face Ohio State (a 4-seed) and are one win away from reaching the Sweet Sixteen.
The Yellow Jackets and Buckeyes will tip-off at 7:20 PM on ESPN2. The game will take place on the Buckeyes home court in Columbus.
The #5 seed is the highest seed the program has ever been awarded. Coach MaChelle Joseph continues to put together a solid program and the results are showing. This is the Jackets 5th straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, setting a record for most consecutive appearances.
Good luck to the Lady Jackets!
