I remember sitting in the stands at Jordan-Hare
and watching him take the second half kickoff to the end zone.
And it was twenty-five years before Tech beat Auburn again.
Died of stroke.
Men, get this checked out if you have symptoms or family history.
He went to the hospital earlier in the week with very high blood pressure, was released, but returned with very strong headaches. Two key Signs and Symptoms that MAY be stroke related, don’t fool around with this.
1978 vs. uGA. 101 yard KO return. He was 5’9", but look very long legged in this clip.

From the AJC Fishwrapper
" (Pepper)Rodgers recruited (Drew)Hill from Newnan. He was one of several players, along with Eddie Lee Ivery, Kent Hill and Lucius Sanford, who were drafted into the NFL in the same year. "
I believe that Looooocius and Pass were 1978, with Eddie Lee, Drew Hill, Don Bessilieu (sp?) and others in 1979.
We certainly had some NFL worthy talent even at the nadir of the program on campus.
For Drew Hill to go 12th Round, play in a Super Bowl and a 2 time Pro Bowler is something else.
