PrintHow has no one mentioned this yet? Justin Thomas is one of the top 4 star recruits in the nation, initially committed to Alabama, also recruited by LSU, Oregon, Florida, Auburn, etc. He recently de-committed from Bama in order to play Quarterback at Georgia Tech. He runs a 4.3 40 and can also throw the ball. Vad Lee is now just a blip on the radar after getting Justin Thomas to come to the flats. Check out these highlights and picture him leading Tech down the field almost single-handedly in the triple option.

Well..... just saw there was a FanShot about this 2 days ago.
But anyway, this recruit deserves more talk. One of the best pick-ups by Tech in recent years. You get one stud athlete like this and no one would ever dare bash the triple option offense.

It certainly looks like he can help with...
…the “slow down the option” strategy that comes into effect when a defense takes away the dive and pitch forcing the QB to keep. If the keeper is a good runner (Tevin has been good but not great in that situation after being mediocre at it last year) then it opens up the other options. If he can also pass (Tevin’s better than Nesbitt there, but better passers exist for sure) then the offense goes into “Destroy Kansas Mode.” I like the pickup. Now Vad and Synjyn will have to work extra hard to start. It’ll elevate everyone’s game.

Yea no worries, forgot about finals week for you all.
It’s been over a year since my last final. Looks like we’ll have a great QB competition. Tevin comes back as a Senior, Synjyn comes back a little more experienced, Vad Lee has been very hyped up over the past year, and now we get Justin Thomas who is the best prospect of them all. I think they might have to shuffle around some positions for these guys to get them on the field. Not Thomas’ though, he’s been guaranteed to only play quarterback for us.
