PrintI've been lurking around the ESPN conversation on the Tech/VPI game this Thursday and I have to admit, I'm quite disappointed. This season has turned out to be completely different than any of us expected and yet, our fanbase issues plague on.
I think I know a bit about football, especially for a chick, but let's stick to a topic no one will give me any crap about.
Fashion.
I have never in my life seen so much whining and boo-hooing over a directive to dress for a football game.

I'd wear 6 layers of white trashbag under my (ridiculously thin) Dwyer jersey, sweating my @ss off while simultaneously freezing to death if it meant I could go Thursday night.
And I'd be happy about it, I tell you what.
That's just not going to happen for me, no matter how much I wish for class to be cancelled.
If you're fortunate enough to be going to BDS@HGF Thursday, get over yourself, get some white on and for PJ's sake, #AvengeNesbitt!

Fortunately,
being a GT fan has found me friends from all walks and all attitudes.
My Yank of a fiance even had enough sense to choose the correct team when he migrated down here. (prior to meeting me, so I knew he was a keeper.)
I genuinely think we have the best fans in the world, at least, those of us who are True Fans™ , though, they treated me pretty well in Louisiana at the Independence Bowl last year, too.

We got some geezers and non-alums who want to sit and watch it like a golf tournament, but the wife and I do our darndest. We were so proud of them for their progress during the Clemson game. They began to all stand and yell on 3rd down…even the old men. I shed a single tear and then kept screaming our defense to victory. The late season at home really is the time to for the fans to shine.

Back to the subject of White-out
What’re some good places for more GT stuff aside from the bookstore? We used to hae a Dave and Busters here where there was a good selection and I got a couple things. The ladyfriend is finding her apparel at footballfanatics.com. Anyone got any “hidden gems” to speak of?

Khol’s has both ladies’, mens’ and childrens’ apparel (and on SALE, too!) I picked up sweats, white hoodie and my boy a child’s jersey just before the Clemson game. This will depend somewhat on where the store is located, but I purchased these items in Douglasville (which is notorious Mutt Country) so I would expect that the Khols in Duluth would have them, as well.
I’ve also picked up a long-sleeved white-tee from Hibbett Sports in Carrollton.
Tailgate Alley at Discover Mills has a wide selection of ladies’ stuff.
I purchased my jersey from Dick’s.
Footballfanatics is really good, too. I got my “Nothin’ like a Yellow Jacket Girl” shirt there.
I buy from the B&N when I have time to stop by, but I also buy from the official store online for things I can’t find other places. Much more expensive, but they have unique items.
