Tech beating Clemson might boost Recruiting...
As if wooping Clemson in front of the home crowd wasn't big enough itself, in terms of keeping your ACC Coastal divisional hopes alive, there might be another reason. Several GT commits and potential recruits were on hand to experience Tech beating the previously #5 ranked school in the nation, an upset-win, and a field rushing event. Our most prized recruits thus far are 4-star Francis Kallon (DE, Central Gwinnett), Marcus Allen (ATH, Hillard Senior, Hilliard, FL), Pat Gamble (DT, Carrollton Central), and Dennis Andrews (ATH, Amos P. Godby, Tallahassee, FL). Kallon's a potential stud bookend 3-4 DE who's somewhat new to the game. Allen is a potential B-Back or OLB. Andrews is either a potential QB or A-Back. I would imagine these guys came away more impressed. But then there's the uncommitted HS players that could strongly accept potential Tech offers, like RB's Miles Jones (Allatoona) and Shadrach Thornton (Liberty County), and DT Dalvin Tomlinson (Henry County). Several top Juniors were at the game as well. Recruiting could definitely get a boost from a primetime home thrashing of Clemson at BDS. Hopefully we hear some good news in the next few weeks...
