Ouch...
That game was eerily reminiscent of the UGA game from last season. Complete with no answer for the opponents run game, some odd play calling (pass plays) and a no catch on 4th down on the last drive.

heres some hope:
CPJ has never lost two games in a row in his tenure here at Tech….. but still, horrible game

I seem to recall that in 2008 and 2009
Tech has games that served as wake-up calls. Perhaps this is it.

We'll see
While I hope you are right, and history has your back, I’m not sure if this team needs the wake up call. I think this team needs more talent. The loss of the four juniors really hurt this team, and I don’t think Nesbitt can carry this team all season long.
The last two games have opened my eyes to some facts I didn’t previously know:
1. Anthony Allen is not better than Jon Dwyer at B-Back. While Allen is better in the open field, he lacks Dwyer’s ability to run in traffic, which has hurt him the last two games.
2. The offensive line still has a lot of work to do. Their inexperience is really showing up, and they are missing a lot of blocks that are leading to busted plays.
3. We don’t have a serviceable nose tackle on this team. Logan Walls isn’t cutting it, and the coaching staff doesn’t want T.J. Barnes in there (who I think has the better chance).
4. The freshman, Isaiah Johnson, is an enforcer in the secondary, but he’s not very good in coverage. Kansas really picked on him.
If are receivers are going to play like that (and I am including A-Backs)
There’s no point in even throwing the ball or dropping back. They left Nesbitt pretty high to dry on some of their routes. A Backs did not really show any sort of burst. Horrible, horrible game, but not the end of the world.
Differences
They tackled like mad dogs, we couldn’t tackle a thing.
We couldn’t catch a thing out there, leaving Nesbitt looking worse a thrower than he really is.
Special teams cost us 7 points at least.
And yet we only lost by 3.
We deserved this one. Gave it away.
Absolutely
Wonder if we should have tried some field goals instead of going for it on 4th down. Hindsight is 20/20, though, and going for it on 4th down isn’t such a bad idea if you’re looking at a long field goal, and you think you can make it.
I don't like losing.
Serious questions on run defense.

we don’t have a true NT and until we do, we’re going to get gashed in the run game.
In the 3-4 a NT has to be able to take up 2 members of the opposing Oline, and currently ours is getting manhandled by one Olinemen. This allows the opposing team to get their oline further downfield to our LBs to block leaving more running lanes open.
The key to a 3-4 is having a solid NT.
Grrrrrrrr
missed blocking assingnments, dropped passes, two drive continuating personal fouls, grrrrrrrrrrr. we’ll have move on and get ready for a bigger challenge in Charlotte. play sloppy, get slop. Must do better.

not a good day
I thought for sure tech was going to drive down and win or at least send the game into o.t, just like they did so many times in the past. I thought the defense got better as the game went on but i was shocked that the offense couldn’t get it together in the second half and boy did we need bay bay today!
