North Carolina Can't Escape The NCAA Investigators
It was just recently announced that North Carolina will be holding a press conference at 7:30 this evening where they will update the public on the latest of the NCAA investigations circling college football. Just recently it was reported that the UNC administration uncovered academic violations that could greatly impact the praised defense returning to Chapel Hill.
From Joe Schad's twitter feed: Among the players involved in UNC's tutor investigation: Marvin Austin, Bruce Carter and Robert Quinn."
This is obviously big news for Georgia Tech as the Yellow Jackets roll into Chapel Hill on Week 3 of the football season. Could the hurdle of September be lowered just slightly?
The Tar Heel Fan Blog is currently updating with whatever breaking news comes as the story develops. Be sure to watch their site.

I think...
Butch has a lot riding on this season.
quote worth sharing:
as posted off the tarheel site:
I will say again what I said before…what has the Butch Davis era given us thus far? Three losses to NC State, three losses to UVA, no top 25 finishes, no bowl wins and the greatest embarrassment the University has faced in my lifetime. At this point UNC could disband the entire football program and it wouldn’t bother me one bit.

Yeah, they need to concentrate on BB
I’ve never seen so many Shocked Tarheels as last season’s BB nightmare unfolded.

Heard on a Sports Talk radio this morning
Butch Davis has relegated those players to the practice squad pending the results of the investigation. If this means they aren’t starting in Week 3, that defense just got a lot worse.
"Everybody talks about SEC speed. The 27 fastest guys at the (NFL) combine, how many of them were from the SEC? Three. But if you say it enough, everybody will believe it."

"You could spend the next fifteen seconds of your life watching a man and a tiger scream together, or you could be an idiot."
Fact.
I wonder how many Tar Holes
are gonna stay home instead of travel to ATL for the kickoff game?
