A-Mo, the Shooter!

Today's a lazy Wednesday at From the Rumble Seat. Winfield's busy chasing blonde ales and I'm busy at work (SHOCKER). Here're some good links to read to help you pass the day...

In case you haven't heard or don't live within 500 miles of Chapel Hill, the Tar Heels are looking at some nasty off season troubles. According to my NC State grad/UNC fan buddy, the Heels are looking at some personnel issues headed into the big one against LSU. And despite all of the negative media surrounding the program, Butch Davis contends that the investigation will benefit his program...

The ACC Preseason Player of the Year was Christian Ponder while our hero Joshua Nesbitt finished sixth overall despite finishing second last year. For your information, the last time a Georgia Tech player won the award (Calvin Johnson in 2006), he was selected as the ACC Preseason Player of the Year.

The AJC does its dance a little bit as the Atlanta writers talk up Tech's "slight" in the preseason polling. And as usual, Mark Bradley loves to jump on anything negative Tech to stir up Bulldog and Tech fans alike. Reading the comments in any of Bradley's write ups literally kills brain cells. I don't mind the civil discourse we enjoy at FTRS. It's actually a big part of the fun but the ridiculousness of Bradley's horde of anonymous commenters is just disconcerting.

This is kinda old news but Anthony Morrow is one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA now. He used to shout, "I am a shooter!" at practices. Morrrow just got traded to the Nets and is reportedly making $12 million over the next three years. Not bad for an NBA free agent.

It should be renamed the Troll JC

I’ve pretty much given up hope for that thing to ever right itself.

As for Morrow, we sure could have used him here in the A, but we paid the second highest contract for about the 20th best player in the league. GG ASG, now please go DIAF.

"Everybody talks about SEC speed. The 27 fastest guys at the (NFL) combine, how many of them were from the SEC? Three. But if you say it enough, everybody will believe it."

"You could spend the next fifteen seconds of your life watching a man and a tiger scream together, or you could be an idiot."
Fact.

Dwyer love

Dwyer 2008 Offensive Player of the Year (Clemson’s Harper was preseason) and 2009 Pre-season pick for Player of the Year, unfortunately not repeating.
