Georgia Tech History Update: 1894 Class Ring Comes Home To Tech
The oldest class ring in Georgia Tech history returned to campus this past week from the family of Trezevant Holmes. The individual was a prize winning shop student who crafted the ring himself.
The Holmes family presented the ring to President Bud Peterson at the Alumni House on July 7th.

The seal on the ring is the original seal of Georgia Tech from back then, The Georgia School of Technology. The ring will be housed in the Alumni Associaton's mezzanine area for viewing.
Holmes was also a member of Georgia Tech's football team in 1893 where they first beat georgie.

He's in this picture somewhere....

That ring is pretty sweet
I’d buy one if someone started making them….and if I had the money.
Nice ring...
I was given a gold football necklace charm that was my grandfathers which he received for winning the 1917 National Championship while at Tech. I believe it was lost during one of my many moves. It was pretty cool had “1917 National Champions” engraved on it… What a stupid I am.
You lost it!?
That sucks man. It would have been a cool piece of Tech history.
That is very cool indeed.
I’d like to buy one without the year just to have.

Fact.
Turn that thing down on you ring finger
and your sons will remember when you pop them for being too big for their britches. I’ve got some dents from Dad’s 1962 Black Stone ring.
