O.K., seriously folks

I will give you three options when it comes to Jon Dwyer and you tell me which you think it is:
(1) He really should have stayed at Tech and he made a big mistake coming out early.
(2) The offense made him look better than he was and Anthony Allen is actually going to look even better at B back.
(3) General Managers are making the biggest mistake this year in the history of the draft by passing Dwyer up.

Easy Choice

#2. Was at the Duke game sitting near Dwyer’s entourage. Way too much feeling of entitlement in that group. I think he let his first year’s success in CPJ’s offense go to his head and he stopped working so hard. Was the fact he didn’t break nearly as many runs last season because defenses keyed on him or his lack of progress? I say the latter.

I voted for Morgan Burnett

to go before Dwyer in the draft but now I am really starting to wonder about some things. I haven’t even heard Dwyer’s name mentioned in the ESPN chatter. Meanwhile running backs I have never heard of are getting drafted ahead of Dwyer.

But going back to my own little poll it sounds like there might be some good news in all of this. Since CPJ’s offense made Dwyer look good maybe the running game will actually be better this year.

Doesn’t have skills that translate to the NFL.

You should be sort of happy about this. Means Tech won’t miss him as much.

I think a toned down version of #3....

….I’m not sure him slipping will be the “biggest mistake” of the draft. Hopefully this will just add some fuel to the Diesel’s fire. Starting a couple of yards deeper in the backfield won’t prevent him from being a beast at the next level.

yea i agree with #3. i cant believe some of the guys that have been taken in front of him, Wish the Texans would of taken him instead of Tate from Auburn

also a toned down version of three

at this point wherever he gets drafted he will end up being a steal. By the way Green Bay gets another long hair don’t care DB in Burnett.

so

why hasnt he been drafter?

and lets say he doesnt it drafted…. doesnt get signed as a free agent…. can he come back at all?? or no cause of the hiring of an agent?

Orange Bowl

Seeing all of these players being drafted from UI and GT should make the Orange Bowl crew happy and the fans proud.

Well, Dwyer got drafted

That seems awfully low to me, but it may be a few years before we know for sure.

I know we weren’t imagining all those defensive backs he was able to outrun (and Nesbitt and Allen weren’t). We’ll see how it goes.

After today’s half a T game, I’m still not worried about the 2010 offense. Still not sure about the defense, but we’ll find out in September.
