Jackets upset and shocked by Kennesaw State
Midweek games can always be a toss-up game because you never really know what you're going to see on the field. Midweek games are good days for players to get some work in that usually don't. Regardless, it was our first loss to an in-state opponent on the season which is disappointing. Losing sucks
We kept alive by KSU walking 8 batters but in the end it just wasn't enough. 7-4 final.
Game recap here. Box score here.
Next game: vs. Duke (Easter weekend series!) Friday/Saturday/Sunday

I had to Google this result to make sure it wasn’t an April Fools joke.

I’m hoping that GT will topple UVA in all the polls. We have the better ACC record, the better overall record, but they have played four ranked opponent series thus far and we lost to KSU. In the end I think we’ll win the ACC regular season and we play them soon, so we’ll see.

what we've got going for us...
We have 4-5 competent starters, which is huge in the post season. We also have the hitting. But the pitching is where you make your money. If there was a year to make a run, this is it. Check out the GT batting average and ERA stats, even if they don’t have the meat of the ACC involved yet:
2006 (CWS) – BA 0.318, ERA 4.42
2007 (no bid) – BA 0.293, ERA 5.12
2008 (regional) – BA 0.308, ERA 5.04
2009 (regional) – BA 0.316, ERA 4.65
2010 – BA 0.335, ERA 3.17
If the Ramblin' Reck burns the nationwide average of 1.61 gallons/day, it produces 14 kg of CO2 equivalent per day. 14 kg/day is less greenhouse gas emissions than those produced by a single cow or horse. There is a proverbial herd of mascots in I-A football that is more polluting than the Ramblin' Reck...
