ACC Championship Open Thread

We must channel our inner Mark Price in order to defeat Duke. We've gotta hit some free throws. We've gotta shoot with a smooth stroke. The Tar Heels were bad. The Terps didn't have the talent. NC State was led by a Dr. Seuss character. Duke will be the ultimate challenge. Let's get serious about life.

Fuck Duke

I’m ready. Zoubek is the worst basketball player ever in the acc. And coach K is the biggest hypocrite ever. He prays before and during the game while he cusses up a storm. He can go fuck himself

We look tired

how many shots have gone off the front of the rim? Damn, Its like a Duke home game crowd wise.

Up to 7 TO’s now….geeez

Dook crowd and Zebras know it

Zoubek reaches around and gets a tie up.

So close

We were better than Puke in almost every category except for the final score and turnovers. 17 turnovers to their 10. We were able to overcome this every day except for today. Mental fatigue had to play a factor…4 games in four days. Geez—esp. with 2 < 24 hours apart.

I expect with the acc tournery showing we just put on we get a 6 or 7 seed. If we play D like we have, and can limit mistakes, there’s no reason we couldn’t at least make the sweet sixteen.

Gotta love the effort this team put in today to claw their way back into the game. With the amount of turnovers we had I think it was pretty amazing we hung around.

Agreed—we were down by 11 with just a few minutes, and we managed to come back. Missed free throws weren’t a huge factor, we only missed 4…but when you consider we lost by four…well…

Beyond the Arc

Has us underdog at 9 vs. Texas in Salt Lake City and beautiful Buffalo.

2:15 Sunday afternoon.

Some woofing that any team with a losing Conference record should be banned from the Dance unless they win the Conference Tourney. That’d be us! Obviously they don’t understand the dog eat dog world of big time Conference play (ACC even in a down year).

I dont know why it took 30 games to figure out they need to feed the post to win,

But I’ll take it. I wasn’t a big fan of Favors before the ACCT,but I am now. Dude was an absolute monster. I’ll stay behind em, but still one of the most frustrating teams in NCAAB.

Favors finally showing his talent

He was a beast, clearly one of the best big men in GT history. If only he would stay another year. We have a couple weeks to dream about it.

If only Miller's 3 had went down

we would have had a final shot for the win with about 8 sec to go.

If only we hadn't dug a 10-0 hole to start the game

Who is Joe Lenardi?

He’s got a mock bracket with GT a #10 seed and losing to N. Iowa? I would expect better from ESPN…okay maybe not.

At least I yell at hewitt when miller dribbles it off his leg. It amazes me that we cannot dribble with ball pressure so we better hope no1 presses us for a couple rounds in the ncaa

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J.
