Football schedule announced....WOOHOO!
September 11 - @ Kansas Jayhawks
September 18 - @ UNC Tar Heels
September 25 - N.C. State Wolfpack
October 2 - @ Wake Forest Demon Deacons
October 9 - Virginia Cavaliers
October 16 - Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders
October 23 - @ Clemson Tigers
November 4 (Th) - @ Virginia Tech Hokies
November 13 - Miami Hurricanes
November 20 - Duke Blue Devils
November 27 - @ Georgie
Initial thoughts are that we have murderer's row on the road this year but thankfully they're all spread out. We don't have the Thursday game coming off a short week of rest either. Toughest three game stretch is Clemson, VT, & Miami. Close out with Duke prepping us for trip to Athens. I think we should set our goal at 7-0 going to Clemson.
Any thoughts on the schedule?

UNC will be much tougher than Clemson
I don’t have high hopes for beating VT, at least right now. But as long as we get payback against UM, we should be in the division race.
In other news
some Aerospace Engineers got into a fight and one stabbed the other with a SWORD!

too soon? who cares.

7-0 into Clemson
I think 7-0 would be incredible going into the Clemson game but I’m really worried about the @UNC game. They get a bye week before playing us and returned pretty much everybody on defense. I’m not as worried about Clemson and VT as I am about UNC. Clemson lost their best players. VT is really good at reloading on talent and will have Taylor and a stacked backfield, and Lane is supposed to be the toughest place to play on a Thursday, but we do get an extra week to prepare for them.
As good as could be hoped for
given the tough road schedule. At UNC worries me because they have the best defense we will face all year and I’m not sure our offense will be clicking by that point. The last two years we have lost the 3rd game of the season and both have been road games like this one. Other than that our first 7 should be relatively easy, our home schedule is a cakewalk other than Miami. I’m already getting excited about November! We start off with Clemson on the road, which is always a tough game but one we should win. Then we get a bye week before the ACC Game of the Year (imo) against Virginia Tech at Lane Stadium on a Thursday night. VT also gets a bye before this game so it should be real showdown. Then we get a week +2 days before Miami comes to town in cold November. Talking to Miami fans this is the game they are most worried about other than Ohio state. And they should be if they remember the frigid beating we gave them last time. Then we stay at home for Duke and after that play some school from Athens.
7-0 very possible
actually 8-0…Clemson will not be as good without Spiller.

vt thursday
Why? I really wanted to go to Lane Stadium this year. Oh well, guess I’ll have to make sure not to schedule meaningful classes on thursday or friday this fall. now that I think about it, thats probably a good general rule anyway
It is an excellent rule

AVOIDING EARLY SLIPUPS
will be the key in my opinion. If Tech gets past Kansas and UNC they should have their offense road tested enough to get through the rest of the schedule. If we go into VT undefeated I think that will truly be a game in which the best team wins.

I like this schedule. Though I want revenge in Chapel Hill!

I wanna see us beat the Hokies at what they do best: play football at home on a Thursday. That and then I also wanna hear the loudness.

Yeah
We specifically requested no home Thursday night due to our schedule and try to maximize our home game revenues through Saturday games.

I usually make 1 or 2 home games a year
But 2010 looks pretty uninspired…they need to fix this rotation
If you happened to look
Georgie’s schedule is really easy this year. They play Auburn, Miss St., and Arkansas in the SEC West, missing Bama, LSU, and Ole miss. The SEC East is weak this year and if they beat Florida they have a good chance of winning the division. Their OOC is just cupcakes and then us. Which boils down to my point, we might get to spoil their season again just like 2008, although I expect both of us to be ranked highly at that point. I’ve miss the taste of hedgerow!
