Here are some news and notes about this weekend.
Baseball
Danny Hall's squad opened the Missouri State series with a bang. Deck McGuire pitched 7.0 innings in the first game and struck out 10 batters. The second game was a little more offensive as Tech racked up 20 runs in Danny Hall's 900th career win. Tech starters have a 3.00 ERA going in to the series finale today at 1:00 PM.
Softball
Softball is 8-0 going in to today's nooner against #11 Cal in the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic. Softball has already knocked off #3 Florida and #21 Northwestern in pre-ACC play. Pretty impressive.
Basketball
We all saw the shot. However, many commenters have noted that the team is playing well. Derrick Favors is closing out the season like an all-star. Tech just needs to focus and win as many games as possible before selection Sunday.
