I don't know if postting this was a good idea.
This could get ugly!
The college football season is so fragile. It's like a glass ball being pushed around from stadium to stadium by a rhinoceros.

I'm doing this
so when we make our NCAA run, we’ll see this massive positive spike and I can say, “AHAH, 60-70 of you are a bunch of bandwagon jumpers!” And then I’ll sit back, drink a beer, and be happy.
I’m growing a mustache.
I spun around... and there I was, face-to-face with a six-year old kid. Well, I just threw my guns down and walked away. Little bastard shot me in the ass.
I'm not sure
how it makes us bandwagon jumpers if we judge how satisfied we are with our coach based on his results.
For example, we could lose every game of the season up until the ACC tournament, then win that and the NCAA championship. I think most reasonable people would not support the job their coach was doing after that run. I also think most reasonable people would be justified in changing their minds after a championship run.
Obviously that’s an extreme, but it demonstrates the point nicely. Refusing to support Hewitt because our teams have never had any semblance of a half court offense (including this year) or because our teams can never assemble some sort of consistency game in and game out doesn’t make us not fans.
It’s the difference between grandparents and parents. The former is supportive no matter what the results while the latter thinks that by finding faults they can be corrected/improved upon.
The real question is what are you going to do when we lose in the first round or don’t make the tourney?
I was mostly joking
I think I’ll still support Hewitt. I just don’t think today’s college hoops game lends itself to building big time sustained programs. Teams go through rough stretches and I think Hewitt has a good team that can be built up. We’re leading the league in freshmen minutes played and I think next season we’ll be really good (even with Favors/Lawal gone).

We lose Peacock and Bell too
Not sure why you are so confident we will be “really good” next season. Care to explain?
I have some hope we won’t fall off the cliff again next year. I think Hewitt’s better teams might be more guard oriented teams. He doesn’t appear to be able to work a half court offense through a big man. Even when we have great bigs the teams have been mostly average.
Bell
Losing Bell is a positive not a negative, the kid forces every shot and does not deserve to be starting over Oliver (better shooter, better rebounder). He has really only had one good game this season (vs. Wake). The only explanation for his minutes is his defensive intensity and his elder statesman status.
Next year’s team has the potential to be good with the addition of Kam Holsey and Brian Oliver hopefully making up some of the loss of 2 nba lottery draft picks (impossible to do) as well as the addition of jason morris on the perimeter adding to a stout backcourt. The only question is what kind of coaching will take place, the talent has always been there, its the coach’s system that puts us in this mess.
explanation...
Mfon, Iman, Brian Oliver, GR Jr. have all progressed as the season has progressed. Next year with a full season under their belt, we should be set at guard. I think we’ve lost a lot of games the past three seasons because all we could do was trade 2’s for 3’s. Now, we’re finally shooting the 3 well.

From the poll results,
most people appear to be in the “parent” category. So, he either needs a spanking or we need to put him in timeout…..oh wait, he already used them all up!
not sure
I was just reaching for a caption in the photo. There weren’t any good photos from AP in this game.
