Can't they sit out a few games next season instead?

If Ohio State gets a pass on the Sugar Bowl for merchandising against regulations, can’t a few guys who had poor exam showings get some love?

Ever since Tech's academic woes

with Gailey’s 2002 team and O’Leary’s old players, I think the Tech reg people have been super strict on exam day.

I write stuff From the Rumble Seat.

What will we do without Hill?

Someone will need to step up and fill his shoes. Wide open passes don’t drop themselves.

I don't know how our offense will ever function properly

with Washington completing 20% more passes than usual. What an odd day it shall be…

Opportunities for other players...

Like Isaiah Johnson to start at safety alongside of Tarrant and get some additional experience going into next season. Receivers like McKayhan and Moore can get some needed reps and show that they too are ready to step and contribute as well. Quentin Sims missed a golden opportunity, but so long and good luck.

Players need to realize that you have to be ready to show what you can do when the opportunity is provided, much like the Morris kid at Miami who stepped in for an injured Jacory Harris at quarterback. As a result of his (Morris) play, Harris will be a backup going forward. Go Jackets!

On a side note

when I worked in housing at Tech, it was always interesting to see who had been placed on the drop list, and yet somehow remained in school the following quarter (some football, some basketball, some of the other sports). I’m sure it was due to incompletes vs. F’s, but who can tell?
