Did you hear the commentator?
“the fake inside and the QB run outside has been one of their best plays”
For pete’s sake, this this is their JOB….they should know what a midline is.

can we get a holding call?

The only time I have EVER seen a Paul Johnson team
motion into a wishbone (almost Power-T tight)…they just end up calling TO.
Has anyone ever seen him run a play out of that formation?

Sweet Jesus...
The announcer just referred to the midline as a ‘QB draw’

Run the damn ball
Why does Johnson keep trying to throw? Just threw away an easy 3, if not 7.
I hold the greatest respect for CPJ
but dear God…
that man has got to put 2 and 2 together at some point and realize NOTHING GOOD CAN COME OF THROWING THE F***ING BALL! If anything, drop back for a pass, instruct the oline to break apart the pocket and open up SOMETHING for Nesbitt to run through and send all the receivers out wide to distract the secondary. Open up the middle for a semi-decent designed run.
FFS!!!!!!!

Washington's pass looked pretty nice a few drives back.
Too bad we still have concrete gloves on our receivers.

"Everybody talks about SEC speed. The 27 fastest guys at the (NFL) combine, how many of them were from the SEC? Three. But if you say it enough, everybody will believe it."

"You could spend the next fifteen seconds of your life watching a man and a tiger scream together, or you could be an idiot."
Fact.
uhhh...this isn't going well
Washington isn’t making sound decisions

I now know...
What the F%&* is wrong with Frank Beamer’s neck (in case you were wondering): he has about 500,000 four leaf clovers surgically crammed in there because he is the luckiest man alive. It takes a special teams miracle AND our QB getting injured in order for them to win that ball game.
Granted we made a crap ton of false starts. Oh. ACC officiating sucks!!!! Even the announcers said something about the missed hold calls. I counted 7 myself.
I had a nightmare last night and it came true tonight
I dreamed three things. The defense would play well enough for us to win, we would throw the ball away on a touchdown drive, and Joshua Nesbitt would be out for the season. Hopefully the last part isn’t true.

Either way,
when it comes down to execution and playing solid, we out played VT tonight. They won on some serious lucky breaks. I’ll be the first to admit when we suck and get out played. Tonight was not one of them. VT got the TD following the questionable pass int (kinda like Clemson on their opening drive, granted we got out played that game) and the kickoff return.
I actually have some faith in Washington as our QB next year. He didn’t look as bad as a lot of commenters made him out to be. His throws were fairly impressive aside from the last one and the one he skipped. Our passing game was piss poor until he stepped up in the 4th qtr.
The special teams DERP to give VT the winning touchdown CERTAINLY didn’t help… it was a flashback to 2008.
THWG!
