Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech Tomorrow. It's Time For HOPE!

This is Bird excited.

I leave for Virginia Polytechnic and State University tomorrow morning at 6:30AM to go watch the Jackets play in the supposed cold and slop that will be Blacksburg tomorrow evening. I partially want to continue my streak of attending games this season and I partially want to experience Lane Stadium on a Thursday night. I am also going to Virginia Tech because of the small glint of hope that continues to burn ever so slightly within my heart of fanhood that says: "Yes, we can still put a solid game together, come out, and steal one away from the Hokies and thus, set the season straight."

Many of you, I am sure, feel the exact same way. I sent a twitter message out to our followers a few days ago asking what would be a satisfactory result regarding this game: a win or a solid performing loss? The overwhelming majority of you said, "win and win only." Jacket fans continue to hold on to that small piece of 2009 Heaven while 2010's Hell continues to hit us in the gut. Knock us down 6 times, get up 7. Dare I say it? Might we gather some magical Chan Gailey fairy dust and win a game that everyone says we have no business winning?! Backs against the wall. The phrase again, "Good teams DO NOT lose two games in a row." It's time to once again prove this phrase as TRUTH.

In closing, let these videos boost those of you who are struggling to reach that mountain crest of hope. May the spirits of GT victories past be with us tomorrow evening.

Chan fairy dust....

we have our requisite Duke loss equivalent (KU) so maybe we are due a surprising win.

I can concentrate on winning much better

when the videos don’t have mediocre and bland musical sound tracks. I want to hear the roar of Tech fans or the stunned, hushed silence of Lane Stadium as the unthinkable happens.
