Oregon is one well-coached team

Putting up big numbers at Southern Cal is both impressive and historic.

Boise State and TCU both deserve their rankings but will they get to play the big game at the end of the year?

The intriguing question is the following: If Auburn played Alabama today who would be favored?

Quick Thoughts

I know Iowa BTHO Sparty but they didnt deserve to jump teams like Stanford and Arizona and prob not even Ohio State even though I hate them.

Why is Bama Auburn an intriguing thing to follow? They play at the end of the month so we will know who is better in due time.

I thiink a TCU Oregon NC game would be awesome to watch. TCU has as top 5 defense where they run a 4-2-5 so we can match up against the spread of Oregon and have the speed and discipline to cover the field. And we all know about Oregons defense….

On the other hand a TCU Auburn game doesnt interest me much as I think Cam Newton is big enough to rumble down the field time and time again.

Also on a side note I believe it is time to let a TCU/Boise St into the NC game. THis year TCU put together a pretty strong OOC schedule with Oregon State and Baylor this year. and in conference playing a very good Air Force team and then a top 10 team in Utah this weekend.

With Boise they also played Oregon State this year as well as a top 10 VT team in week one. The WAC just isnt as stong as the MWC which is why I think TCU/Utah will get the call over BSU.

Wish we could....

but since the MWC has a contract with CBS/the Mountain this weekends game will be on “national coverage” on CBS college sports which I dont even get living here at TCU.

My point about Alabama vs. Auburn

was simple. As good as Auburn is I bet you that if these two were playing tomorrow Alabama would be favored in the betting line. Why is that intriguing? Again, quite simply, because teams that are further down in the polls right now are probably going to end up nearer the top once a few key games have occurred.

As to one of your other questions, TCU does not put up the numbers offensively that Oregon or some of the other teams do. That does not mean they are not as good, as say Boise State, it just means that polls are popularity contests with the flashiest numbers often getting more attention.

I appreciate the TCU BSU breakdown. But...

I’m still not sold on the Alabama Auburn game since they play each other in the near future. But I do agree its going to be a great game and Ill be watching it for sure.

WF my point exactly
