Just saw Morgan "rap"... this guys would kill him in a freestyle battle
maybe they both should keep their day job
Even though he didn't graduate
it was fun seeing Jimmy Carter open the pregame show.
I was in the Tit when he got his honorary degree. We were searched by stereotypical Secret Service agents going in.
It just happened to be his first appearance after the Shah of Iran was overthrown, so it got a lot more coverage than anticipated.
I would expect nothing more than Iowa running out holding hands….PERFECT!

Before you respond, let me remind you: Brian Cook called me smug, which makes me the Obama of smugness. I'm basically Smugbama.

Run the ball
Defend the ball
Protect the ball
But CPJ sure is a genius

okay...I'm worried

there is a LOT of football to go. its a one possesion game…..

I expect GT to play much better in the second half
because due to time of possession, our D is exhausted.
"I think it's safe to say our concerns are many." -- Kirk Ferentz
Why are a bunch of Iowa fans on
a Tech board?
They do have a point though: there is no scheme adjustment for handling the DEs (who are just killing the offense) and if they had a magical one, they would have come up with it by now.
That being said, the Tech fans are right also. Iowa should be up by 21 and the fact they aren’t could come back to haunt them.
We became friends over the past month....
a little jawing never hurt anyone. OUr team always finds a way to keep other teams in the game. You have one first down and you are one play away from a tie. It is frustrating.

easy cowboy. one comment does not a troll make.
Tech had a great season and should be proud of its accomplishments, especially given how quickly the turnaround has occurred. The program may not have arrived all the way, but it’s heading in the right direction.
Defense wins championships. CPJ + defense = really good team. CPJ without the defense = strong competitor in the ACC. If he can build a defense without stepping back on offensive talent, Tech could be great.

No, it doesn't
But coming here right after the loss and instigating crap regarding both losses last night does. I just call ’em like I see ’em.

It's your house, so I'll play by your rules...
…but querey whether coming here a month after the two losses and “instigating crap” (whatever that means) would make me less of a troll in your eyes.
It seems more likely that “troll” just means “commenter I don’t like.” From a fan of a hard science school, such subjective reality as “calling ’em how you see ’em” is unexpected.
In any event, I intended no offense. UGA put on a clinic of how to play bad football and frustrate fans this year, fostering a sense of critical irony in dawg fans everywhere. Forgive me for assuming that the same existed here.

Nobody respected Iowa, your O was the shiz. We knew our D would f#ck you.
this is not my last post I willl do 2 more if allowed.
You had an awesome season, and have a great coach and great team. Iowa is greater than though. You got lucky it was a 10 point game, it should have been 30. Iowa is the real deal.
Great game, guys.
I was really considering talking a lot of shit… but I’m above that. I’ve learned from OBNUG and a few others around these parts.
Best of luck next year.

I wasn't above it
but I thought that was the deal after the whole month of jawing back and forth….I think I hurt some feelings…but I was just having fun.

I wasn't talking about you, SMA.
SpanishJohnny in particular. You’ve been largely wonderful to these folks. Now they’re just getting what they’re deserving for talking smack and then shrugging and saying “oh well” instead of reacting like we would have.

echoing the above
great game guys. you gave us a few scares in the 2nd half like i expected. but it was great. good luck next year!!
"Hayden Fox for Universal Jocks!"
One helluva season for both teams, but somebody had to lose
A few more under CPJ, and Georgia Tech should be scaring V Tech and all of BCS football for football supremacy.
But watch out for the Heartland.

Reading through this thread
Is just an amazing study in complete reality-denial. There’s one thing to be a fan. It’s another entirely to ignore objective reality. The latter is what occurs around here. Which is shocking given the usual standards by the proprietors of this blog. It’s clear that when the FTRS “adults” are away, the mindless message board denizens take over. If you can’t see what happened in this game, then I am truly sorry for you because you have nothing but a lifetime of disappointment and/or delusional rationalizations awaiting you.
I ate the blue ones ... they taste like burning.
Great game rumble seaters
Made me sweat in the third when your offense woke up, also when we began failing on O. But great season and good louck next year! Norm Parker.
What the FBI doesn't want you to know is that all Chuck Norris jokes, when applied to Tim Tebow, are very very true.
