Boise's chances for the MNC

Interesting article from Dr. Saturday discussing Boise's chances. While still completely unlikely, if it was going to happen, this year could be the year simply because teams in the Top 10 are losing and Boise State is not.

I am a huge fan of the football underdog and would not mind seeing the Broncos in the game. However, they would have to play it extremely close or they would have to win to keep non-BCS teams in top-10 talk for the future.

I agree that this is most likely not going to happen, but what we may be seeing here is simply BCS backlash by the voters. It doesn’t matter too much about the records in the end if the voters vote them in the top two. Where would BYU be i they had not laid such an egg against FSU? Could it have been possible to see a BYU-Boise St MNC game? Is it still possible to see a TCU-Boise St MNC game? The fan inside of me (not to mention the complete hatred of everything BCS related) screams for this to happen.

Oh, and also

Boise St has sustained success versus the flash-in-the-pan un defeated Hawai’i froma couple years ago. I would like to believe that history only goes to further their bid.
