Last week's ballot

Dropped Out: Florida State (#22), North Carolina (#25).

So here's our final poll for week 2. California took a jump over Penn State, Miami dropped 2 spots, and Cincinnati jumped 3 spots. Everything else is kind of minor.  Here is our rough draft from earlier.
You might as well call this a rough draft ballot for Week 3 because after 3 games, it's no longer on merit, it's all based on what you've done recently. So Gator fans, you'd better hope you cover against Tennessee because Troy and Charleston Southern don't count.

5 Things.

1. Teams I want to eventually lose a lot, drop out of the poll, and be nowhere near the BCS: uga, Ohio State
2. Teams I want to see ascend the poll even further: GT, Houston, BYU
3. Teams shouldn’t move up after a “quality” loss
4. Teams that would’ve never been ranked 5 years ago: Baylor, Houston, Ole Miss
5. Miami sucks.

Agreed

The only exception would be with Houston not being ranked 5 years ago. I’m not sure on exactly five years ago, but I thought they had been ranked while Kolb was there, though only briefly because they ended up losing the big-time matchups on national TV, i.e. vs Miami in Houston that one year. Personally, I have always thought that Houston constantly gets overlooked as a quality program.

Houston

Houston’s only good year under Kolb was 2003. They went 7-6 and lost to Hawai’i in the greatest bowl game ever played: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEc6z7JLbgg

Case Keenum is a lot better than Kolb was in college.

Fact

Case Keenum is a ridiculous fantasy football asset.

The college football season is so fragile. It's like a glass ball being pushed around from stadium to stadium by a rhinoceros.
