...Pepper Rodgers?

Good question! Apparently, he's loving retirement in Reston Towne Center, VA, writing a little, and running his website. Rodgers is best remembered for being Tech's eccentric head coach from 1974-1980, but I didnt know until I started reading that he held several positions of football prominence after he left the Institute including VP of Football Operations for the Redskins. He was on the 1952 NC team, is partially responsible for us being in the ACC, and is a member of the GA Sports Hall of Fame. Enjoy the linkage!

His personal website (kinda quirky)

Firing Pepper and hiring Curry was the worst mistake Tech has ever made. Pepper was fun, he won more than he lost, and he beat Georgia a few times.

How they could get rid of Pepper but keep Curry is beyond me.

Only good thing about it is

that ’Bama was fooled even worse that we were.

Curry has grown into a helluva CFB guy, though. I gotta give him that. Huge ambassador for the sport.

Oh, Curry's a great guy

He was just a horrible coach. I was thrilled when Alabama hired him, because I knew Tech would never fire him. Heck, he’d still be our coach, assuming the school didn’t drop football somewhere along the way.

If not for Alabama hiring him and the pure luck of hiring Ross, Tech’s days as a winning football program would be long gone. Ross made them realize that Tech really could win.

How about John Salley?

Anyone watch him on “I’m a celebrity get me out of here?” I loved it when he was giving that bitch Janice a hard time but otherwise the show was a train wreck

E.O. Wheeeeeeler, Luuuuuuuucious Sanford

Back in the day those were the two best names ever on the PA system.

E.O. handled kickoffs and the announcer stretched out his name during the run up to the ball.

Lucious would be greeted by the fans with his name stretched over 7 or 8 seconds (like any player named BRUUUUCE).

Where are they now.
