Winfield: Coley, some people thinking we're overlooking this game and looking towards Tampa. Describe the mentality of the team and their overall focus.

Coley Harvey: Winfield Featherston, everybody. Your most recent Ramblin' Wreck driver, although I understand they just had elections again, so there will be a new one soon. ... In terms of your question, Winfield, it's kind of like what I was saying to Jack. I think the players definitely understand this rivalry...heck, so many of them are from this state. And they know, like Paul Johnson knows, just how important it is to the fan base... That said, however, they also realize that win or lose, this game means absolutely nothing in the finality of their year. Yes, they want to win it, but winning this one and forgetting about the last two would in many ways be a big letdown for them. So it's an interesting balancing act they're forced to play.

Bird: Coach Johnson said in his recent interview that this game has less recruiting implications than we'd think. The Atlanta newspaper said it's huge for in state recruiting. What do you think? Was Coach Johnson just talking coach speak or does this game carry huge recruiting weight?

Coley Harvey: Bird, excellent question. He did say that yesterday, and I'm kind of thinking it had something to do with the way the question was asked. Wasn't the greatest question to begin with. But I do believe that in terms of coachspeak or whatever you want to call it, yeah, he was just trying to downplay the notion that it's huge for recruiting. My personal opinion.... It is huge for recruiting. No, like Paul Johnson said, recruits aren't thinking to themselves "Oh, whoever wins this game, that's where I'm going to go," but recruits do look at the pageantry of it all, they look at who is perceived to be on top, they look at how each school handles itself during the rivalry week as well as how the schools conduct their separate recruiting processes.... So yeah, it has an impact, that's for sure. A big one? Not too much; I'm in agreement with Coach Johnson on that one. There are just so many other factors that go into a decision that go beyond this one singular game.
