Boston U Basketball Preview and Open Thread

GT and Boston U. are playing for Champions of the 1st Round Loser Bracket. I guess that's 4th or 5th place. Not really sure. The tournament bracket looks to be mostly for producing games and a champion not actual stratification past first and second place. Boston's last game was a second round victory over the Hoosiers of Indiana. Apparently, Boston is not a great shooting team (shooting only 29% from the floor) yet still beat Indiana. That's how bad Indiana has fallen off. Boston is running a four guard offense and the starting 5 have played 80.0% of the minutes and scored 95.7% of Boston's points. The lack of depth and talent against GT's squad should prove fatal for the Terriers. Unless they drastically change their lineup, GT will crush Boston on the boards as they've been starting a lineup that averages 6'2" versus GT's 6'6" starting line. The Terriers only hope is a 20+ turnover effort by GT.

Post your ingame thoughts and comments! Game is on ESPNU at 12:30pm.

Also of note, TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!

Interesting stat o' they day

Georgie is 19-19-2 against Tech following a loss – a 50/50 split. Interesting.

This new learning amazes me, Sir Bedevere. Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes.

I'm trying to watch the basketball game,

but I am still in football mode.

I sure wish these guys could hit free throws.

And your 20+ turnover scenario seems very likely

if they haven’t already done it. This is some sloppy basketball.
