Can we jump the Non-BCS undefeated teams??

Will ACC and SEC wins be enough to jump us over TCU/Boise/Cincy if they (and the Jackets) run the table?

Does it matter where we rank as long as we get to Miami for the Orange Bowl?

Will Bama push LSU out of our way next weekend?

Are we better that Penn State and the other one-loss teams?

Big 10

The Big 10 = garbage. Penn State has played one good team this year and they lost (Iowa)—the fact they jumped G Tech in the Coaches Poll is ridiculous. Unless TCU / Boise State lose (which they won’t—they play the equivalent of intramural teams from here on out—TCU plays a ranked Utah team though) we won’t move up much.

Branding/Consistency/& Ugly Georgia Jerseys

I imagine brand name plays into LSU and Penn state getting favored. This will come if we can continue to be consistent instead of winning a few big ones then losing to teams we were expected to win.

I’m not sure about yall, but I’m probably more nervous about Wake & Duke than I was about VT, UM, Miss, or Vandy. Both teams have great pass offenses. Big games. A lot to lose.
But…We got this.

Go Jackets! Turnt up!

PS – Anybody think UGA’s jerseys looked retarded?

I tell Winfield

that the Peach Bowl loss still haunts us in the rankings

Wake doesn't bother me as much

especially if Skinner is out, but Duke definitely scares me. I hope Johnson can get the team up for it and we can mount some sort of pass rush.

I liked the Georgia helmets, black with red facemasks. I hope they wear them against us.

My biggest fear

I believe that we smell blood in the water for the ACCCG and that we will be fine for Duke and Wake….and I dont mean to look way down the line, but….

UGA
We all know they suck. We all know theyve had a bad, bad year. IMO, the Hate game may be their bowl. What a great way to salvage their season if they beat us….I fully anticipate that game to be a backyard brawl, complete with trick plays, on-side kicks at odd times, late hits by a bunch of UGA thugs on their way out….

those are my sentiments as well

They have nothing to lose and everything to gain by beating us. They’ll beat Tennessee Tech and Kentucky but thinking ahead for them, I see Auburn and us as interesting obstacles to bowl eligibility if they manage lose to Kentucky

Thoughts related to all of the above

I could see us jumping LSU (if they lose to Bama) and Boise St. A few weeks ago, I would have confidently said that LSU does not beat Alabama, but Alabama has been getting worse on offense as the season has progressed, so I’m not sure I could say that Bama winning over LSU is a foregone conclusion. I still think Bama will win, but it’ll be closer than they would like.

As for Boise St, the computer will continue to drag them down some with each week, even if they win out, because with every game they play, their overall SoS gets worse and worse. In that regard I do think it’s possible to jump them, but we have to win ours or it’s all for naught.

Frankly, I don’t really see what it matters much because winning the ACCCG and then winning the Orange Bowl should be our main goals for this year. Losing to Miami the way we did on national TV pretty much ended any thoughts of MNC contention. Of course, that doesn’t mean that if everyone above us starts dropping like flies that we shouldn’t think about it, but right now there are just too many teams in front of us to even bother thinking about it.

I think we are better than most one-loss teams offensively, but from watching our defense lately I can’t say that we would be able to outscore teams like Oregon, or USC for that matter. Something there has to change, and I’d prefer it before the Duke game. I don’t think Lewis will shred us entirely because I think we’ll be able to get a push up front, but I don’t want us to give him any advantages before the game even starts. As for Wake, I watched that hit on Skinner live and immediately told my wife that there’s no way he doesn’t have a concussion. If they play him this Saturday, I’d be surprised.

ugag seriously needs to stop with the funky outfits. They have been nothing but bad news for them. Last year with the blackout against Alabama they got tossed, first week of this year they had pink (faded red) helmets @ OkSt, and then this Saturday against UF they got smoked while wearing some seriously ugly uni’s. But by all means, please wear something dumb against us in Atlanta so we can make fun of you more.

Dave Wommack, fix it, that is all.
