Blogpoll Final Submission
We got chopped and screwed on Monday when we unleashed our rough draft poll. Partially our fault. But I loved the discussion so it was totally worth it! Here's our adjusted poll. Thanks to all the readers who let their opinions known.

- The Big 10 continues to get no love. Sorry Iowa, we're not computers. You aren't as good as you think you are.
- All three of us can't stand Texas. But it's difficult to do anything with them because somehow they are winning games. Maybe we still can't shake the name "Texas" from ringing in our ears.
- Boise State and TCU stay above GT because of undefeated records. Plain and simple.
- Adjustment from Monday: USC gets jumped by the Jackets. Their loss is worse than ours.
- Adjustment from Monday: VPI gets back to respectful and rightful ranking.
- Everything else is minor switcharounds.

I agree pretty much except for I still think Iowa should be above us. You say TCU and Boise are above us because they are undefeated. Even if the Big 10 is weak (which it is) Iowa still has a tougher schedule than Boise for sure (and probably TCU too) and is also undefeated.
my problem with Big 10
is anyone with any semblance of an offense can win the Big 10 year in year out…I just don’t trust the Hawkeyes… I see them as a huge disappointment if they get matched up with a decent offensive team
I'm about to write you a reality check. Or would you prefer the cold, hard cash of truth?
I am not a computer and therefore am not impressed with Iowa’s wins over UNI and Michigan State

Some thoughts
While I agree that undefeated teams should be ranked higher, I still believe that GT is better than probably all three of those teams. To me, there’s two ways of looking at this, either it’s a simple win/loss thing, or it’s a matter of assigning value to wins and losses. Personally, I think you have to put Iowa ahead of GT for now simply because you have Boise St and TCU ahead of GT, and I refuse to believe that Boise St is better than GT.
If one is going to devalue certain Iowa wins, then it has to be done for a couple of TCU’s and Boise St’s wins as well. Is anyone impressed with wins over Texas State, SMU, Air Force, Bowling Green, Hawai’i, or California-Davis (seriously, who?)? You don’t have to be impressed by Iowa wins, but you can’t deny that Michigan State is a much better opponent than some of those I just listed. Iowa would destroy those teams just as Boise St and TCU have done.
So, I don’t agree with the conflicting arguments here and I couldn’t in good faith put TCU and Boise St over GT and not Iowa. Plus, it’s not a question of whether Iowa is better or worse than those two, it’s really a matter of if GT is better than those three.

Bird's Top 10
1. Florida
2. Texas
3. Alabama
4. Cincinnati
5. Boise State
6. TCU
7. Iowa
8. USC
9. GT
10. LSU
I think Boise and TCU have earned the right to be in the Top 10. No one wants to play them. It’s not their fault their schedules suck anymore. They are literally blocked out by big time programs and they can’t simply join a BCS conference. …When they play in a bowl game, they’ve got great coaches and they’ll beat some BCS team that doesn’t want to be there. It’s cyclical.
Excluding Hawai’i, the teams repping the non-BCS in BCS games have been incredibly legit. There’s not this MAGICAL talent gap between Utahs and Alabamas like there used to be. Great coaches coach up the kids they’ve got, implement great schemes, and ingame coach the Hell outta their teams. Hence, why GT’s up there with not nearly the talent of a Florida or USC.
Cincinnati, TCU, and Boise State don’t have top 10 talent or schedules but they’ve got top 5 coaching. That’s why they are where they are.
